Over the years, the HaySaver has become a favorite among cattle farmers—and for good reason.
Manufactured for decades by the Pequea Machine® company, Farmco now builds these classic feeders—preserving their fantastic design while continuing the legacy of rough, tough big bale feeders.
The HaySaver comes in a variety of configurations to suit your farming needs. The standard line contains a “basket” frame in the center for holding bales and silage (with added inserts). These feeders are loaded over the top.
You can also get a rear-entry version (designated with “E” in the model number) with a back gate for loading bales horizontally. Hay rests on two low rails resting just above the trough for feeding.
With sizes from 10’ to 30’, the HaySaver is suitable for a range of herd sizes. 10’ feeders rest on skids, while longer models come with wheels and axles for easy towing around the farm. Either way, you’ll love this feeder.

All Farmco cattle feeders are built farm tough. And with strategically reinforced heavy-duty 12 gauge steel, high-quality welding and electrostatically applied weather-resistant polyurethane paints, you can expect yours to last for decades.
The HaySaver also comes standard with:
Slanted trough sides and an inverted V divider for both structural reinforcement and consolidating feed as it’s eaten.
Skid feet for moving around the farm with a chain. (10’ models only.)
Four wheels (used truck tires or new 11L15 Implement tires) for easily moving between feeding locations. (20’ models only. 6 wheels on 30’ model.)
180-degree turning front dolly for ultimate maneuverability in the field.
Extendable towing tongue that can be folded up and hooked out of the way during feeding.
