SkidMate
Reduce Waste, Boost Profits.
Some say time is money. And we suppose that’s true. But when it comes to farming, so is hay. The SkidMate saves you both.
Designed to keep bales in the center of the feeder, the SkidMate encourages cattle to take smaller bites (i.e. make smaller messes). And for the mess they do make? It takes less than five minutes to clean out the SkidMate’s trough—thanks to innovative EZ Clean-Out racks that flip out of the way for a quick sweep or shovel.
Who knew saving time and money (or hay) could be this easy.
SkidMate Available Sizes
Cattle don’t go easy on feeders—but neither do we.
All Farmco cattle feeders are built farm tough. And with strategically reinforced heavy-duty 12 gauge steel, high-quality welding and electrostatically applied weather-resistant polyurethane paints, you can expect yours to last for decades.
The SkidMate also comes standard with:
Slanted trough sides and an inverted V divider that keeps feed scraps away from edges and simplifies cleanup.
EZ Clean-Out racks which center bales during feeding and flip up for easy cleanup (shown in place).
(EZ Clean-Out racks shown flipped.)
Rear entry gate that flips down for easy bale loading and trough cleaning.
Skid feet for moving feeder around the farm. (For feeders 20’ or longer we recommend upgrading to the BaleMaster feeder with wheels for easier transport.)
D-ring for dragging feeder between feeding locations.
SkidMate Options
The SkidMate is also available with:
Roof kit for keeping hay drier and preventing mold growth (available on 10’ models only).
(For option with silage panels check out the Haysaver.)
